2026 Junior Olympics Brings 1,200 Athletes to Ypsilanti

The 2026 Junior Olympics officially concluded in Ypsilanti, Michigan, on the nation’s 250th birthday, bringing together artistic swimmers from across the country for an unforgettable end to the competitive season.

Featuring two age groups and more than 1,200 athletes, this year’s event marked the largest Junior Olympics in USA Artistic Swimming history! The incredible turnout reflects the continued growth, passion and excitement surrounding artistic swimming across the country.

Congratulations to every athlete who competed and to all those who earned a place on the podium last weekend. A special thank you goes to the volunteers, judges, parents and coaches whose time, dedication and support helped make this event so special. Events of this scale would not be possible without the incredible community behind our athletes.

With the 2026 competitive season now complete, we are already looking ahead to Convention 2026 in Madison, Wisconsin! This year’s Convention will bring our community together to discuss the future of our sport, share ideas for continued growth and improvement, hear from several guest speakers and enjoy a few surprises planned for attendees.
