USAAS BOD Strengthened as Experienced Members are Reelected
by USA Artistic Swimming, Kimberly Kohut
During last week's annual USAAS Convention, USA Artistic Swimming President, Kimberly Kohut and Vice President Olympic International, Cheryl Russell were re-elected to serve for two more years and complete their full-term limit. Olympian Jacklyn Luu was elected to Vice President of Athlete Access and Opportunity as Monica Velazquez Stiak’s term concluded. Jacklyn has served on the BOD for two years as the Team USA Athlete’s Committee Alternate (non-voting). Her experience serving for two years in that role has prepared her to continue to expand the organizations ' efforts in Athlete Access and Opportunity. She will continue to serve in the Team USA AC Alternate role as well.
USAAS also welcomes a new member to the BOD. Previously a senior national team athlete and current Stanford athlete, Elisa Brunel joins the BOD as a General BOD Athlete Representative. Elisa will take over the role from Olympian, Andrea Nott Miles who completed her term. Elisa brings a diverse athlete experience and a great perspective that will advance the work of the BOD and the organization.
The BOD and organization want to thank Olympian, Andrea Nott Miles and Monica Velazquez-Stiak for their commitment to making artistic swimming better through their commitment to the BOD.
