USA Artistic Swimming is searching for a new mascot, and the organization is turning to its community to help create it.

Following an exclusive first opportunity for members attending Convention 2026, USA Artistic Swimming is officially opening its mascot search to the public. Athletes, coaches, families, fans, supporters and creative minds of all ages are invited to submit their ideas for the newest member of Team USA.

“We wanted this to be something our entire community could have a hand in creating,” shared Kennedy Shriver, Director of Communications and Partnership Marketing. “Our mascot should reflect the creativity, personality and spirit that make USA Artistic Swimming unique, and we can’t wait to see what our community dreams up.”

CREATE THE NEXT USAAS MASCOT

There are no limits to what the next USAAS mascot could be. It could be an animal, a mythical creature, a character or something completely unexpected.

Every submission must include:

📸 A Picture
🏷️ A Name
📖 A Backstory

Submissions will be evaluated using three key criteria:

✨ Creative
🤝 Connective
🥰 Cute

The goal is to create a mascot that captures the spirit of USA Artistic Swimming and can become a recognizable part of the organization’s community for years to come.

FROM COMMUNITY IDEA TO TEAM USA

Mascot submissions will remain open through October 12, 2026. Following the submission period, USA Artistic Swimming will select 10 finalists to advance to the public voting round.

The Top 10 finalists will be announced on October 20, when voting will officially open to USAAS members, fans and supporters. Voting will close on October 27, with the new USA Artistic Swimming mascot officially revealed on November 1, 2026.

The mascot search is part of USA Artistic Swimming’s continued effort to build community engagement and bring fans closer to the athletes, sport and organization as the journey toward the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games continues.

“Whether someone has been part of USAAS for decades or is discovering artistic swimming for the first time, we want everyone to feel like they have a place in this process,” said Adam Andrasko, CEO of USA Artistic Swimming. “The winning mascot will represent all of us.”
