These openings are distributed via email messaging, Instagram story and website posting once monthly. Each month, these listings are cleared and clubs must renew the listing by emailing kennedy@usaartisticswim.org.

Are you a passionate and experienced Artistic Swimming coach looking for a new challenge? Look no further! Scottsdale Synchro Arizona is seeking an energetic Assistant Coach to join our team, under the leadership of our talented Head Coach Olivia Zhang.
As a key member of our coaching staff, you'll have the opportunity to work with a group of 50 dedicated athletes and train at the state-of-the-art McDowell Mountain Ranch Aquatic Center, situated in the beautiful city of Scottsdale, Arizona. Our comprehensive training schedule spans 2-5 days a week (Monday to Thursday, and Saturday mornings) tailored to each team's needs.

Position Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Artistic Swimming Coach to join our coaching team. The ideal candidate is passionate about working with youth athletes, eager to contribute to a collaborative coaching culture, and interested in growing with our club as we expand our programs. This coach will work with an age group team, developing skills in figures, routines, and performance, while helping to foster a love of the sport.
Responsibilities
- Plan and lead practices for age group athletes in coordination with the head coach.
- Support athletes in achieving technical and artistic development.
- Provide a positive, encouraging training environment that promotes teamwork and growth.
- Assist with meet and competition preparation.
- Communicate effectively with athletes, parents, and the coaching staff.
- Participate in club events and team-building activities.
Qualifications
- Experience coaching or competing in artistic (synchronized) swimming preferred.

- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).

The Role
Are you passionate about inspiring athletes to reach their highest potential in a fun, competitive, and supportive environment? We’re looking for an enthusiastic Artistic Swimming Assistant Coach to join our team and lead athletes to success both in and out of the pool. You’ll play a key role in shaping the next generation of artistic swimmers. You'll lead practices, choreograph routines, and travel with athletes to competitions, fostering a culture of excellence, sportsmanship, and personal growth. This position is ideal for a motivated, creative, and organized professional with a strong background in synchronized swimming and a commitment to athlete development.
This is a full-time, fully on-site position at our club in Portland, OR.
What You’ll Do
- Provide Leadership & Develop Athletes: Coach, inspire, and encourage swimmers toward competitive excellence. Lead and monitor in-water and land-based training sessions for assigned squads. Foster a positive, disciplined, and sportsmanlike environment for athletes. Maintain ongoing communication with swimmers, parents, and staff via email, phone, and meetings. Assist in tracking individual swimmer goals and monitoring progress.
- Develop Choreography & Music Editing: Creatively choreograph routines as assigned by the Head Artistic Swimming Coach. Edit music tracks for routines and performances.
- Competition Travel: Coordinate and accompany teams to competitions, managing logistics and athlete engagement.
- Event Support: Lead and support artistic swimming classes, clinics, and camps. Organize meet entries, attendance, and results; coordinate MAC-hosted competitions.
- System Management: Use ISS for coach cards and TeamSnap for scheduling and squad communication.
- Engage with Members: Promote participation in aquatics department programs and events.
- Emergency Response: Handle injuries, illnesses, and emergencies according to safety protocols.
- Budget Compliance: Submit accurate expense reports and assist with equipment purchasing.
- Team Collaboration: Attend staff meetings and assist in developing the annual competition schedule.
What You’ll Bring
- Certification Readiness: CPR and First Aid certifications, and CCP Level 1 or ability to obtain within 90 days.
- Health & Safety Compliance: Completion of concussion management training within 60 days.
- USAAS Membership: Coaching member in good standing with USA Artistic Swimming.
- Competitive Experience: Background in competitive artistic (synchronized) swimming.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with platforms like TeamSnap, ISS, and common office software.

CAMBRIDGE ARTISTIC SWIMMING ASSISTANT COACH JOB DESCRIPTION
Cambridge Artistic Swimming (CBS) is an artistic swimming team practicing in the Cambridge (metro Boston, MA) area that is led by Head Coach Halle Arnold. The team has 60-70 athletes who practice 1-3 times per week (depending on level) to compete at the regional and national levels. The season runs from September through early July. The is a non-profit and volunteer organization.
CBS is looking for Assistant Coaches to train athletes of all ages in both its Intermediate and Age Group programs.
- Intermediate: The Assistant Coach(es) would work with existing Intermediate coaches, including Lead Intermediate Coach Betty Ransohoff.
- Age Group: The Assistant Coach would work with existing Age Group coaches, including Head Coach Halle Arnold).
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Coaching and training: Help teach athletes technical skills, choreography, and physical conditioning.
- Supervision: Oversee practice sessions and ensure athlete safety.
- Administration: Share in administrative tasks such as scheduling and registering for competitions.
- Qualifications: Have or willing to obtain CPR and First Aid certifications as well as USA Artistic Swimming Coaching Certification Program (CCP) Level 1.
When:
- Intermediates train on Tuesday and Thursday evenings and Sunday afternoons.
- Age Group trains Monday - Thursday evenings and Sunday afternoon.
- Some travel will be required for competitive meets.
Where:
- Cambridge or Watertown, and Medford.
Salary Range:
- Hourly salary while coaching + administrative hours paid/week
