2023 Masters Championship Recap

USA Artistic Swimming hosted the 2023 Masters Championship in Oro Valley, Ariz. welcoming approximately 300 athletes in the age ranges of 20-80 to the desert for a weekend of masters competition. These athletes from across the U.S. and abroad competed in figure, solo, duet, trios and teams in their respective age categories and proved that passion for artistic swimming is a long lasting.


In the end, Redwood Empire (208 points), Arizona Aqua Stars (156 points , and Unsyncables of La Mirada (152 points) took home hardware for the most points scored overall at the 2023 Masters Championship.


Redwood Empire's Cindy Wood was awarded the Mae McEwan Award due to her outstanding contributions to the masters communtiy. Her positive demeanor and young spirit is said to deeply encourage and motivate her teammates. To wrap up the competition, Nancy Hunt (Redwood Empire) was announced as the new masters chairperson, replacing Sue Nesbitt who served selflessly during her terms.
