Congratulations and Thanks to Anna Voloshyna
by USA Artistic Swimming, Kennedy Shriver
After gaining nearly five years of valuable experience as the junior national team Head Coach, and the senior national team Assistant Coach Anna Voloysha is poised to embark on her new journey as the Head Coach for Canada Artistic Swimming.
During the coach’s time with USA Artistic Swimming, Voloshyna helped lead the team back to the top of the world rankings. Most notably capturing a silver medal in the acrobatic routine and a bronze in the technical routine at the 2023 World Championships and the best finish at the Pan American games since 2011.
USAAS is disappointed to lose the Olympic coach’s perspective and guidance, but we congratulate Voloshyna on her advancement in her career and thank her for the time she spent developing the senior national team to the confident medalists and athletes they are today.
Voloshyna plans to remain alongside Team USA as a key part of their efforts through the 2024 World Aquatic Championships taking place in Doha, Qatar February 2nd-9th as the team aims to qualify for the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.
USAAS has posted two contractor positions to work with the national team upon Voloshyna’s departure and will announce the hiring of those roles in the near future. On May 1 USAAS will post the job description for a full-time assistant coach that will work with Andrea Fuentes, Lara Teixeira and the incredible team in preparation for the 2025 season and beyond.
