2022 Masters Championship to be Hosted in Maine

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Colby College in Waterville, Maine will serve as host for the 2022 U.S. Masters Championship, USA Artistic Swimming announced today. The championship will make its way to the east zone after being held in Las Vegas, Nevada in 2022. Guests will be able to enjoy fall foliage and charm October 20-23, 2022.  
 
Colby College opened its new, state-of-the-art Harold Alfond Athletics and Recreation Center in 2020. The 350,000-square-foot building has been called the most advanced and comprehensive NCAA D-III facility in the country. The aquatics center within the facility The aquatics center includes New England’s only Olympic-sized Myrtha pool. 
 
The Maine Sports Commission has been actively involved in the bid process and remains eager to help USAAS tourists experience the best of Maine. A few special offers for competitors and their guests include exclusive discounts for private lake cruises, guided fishing or photography trips as well as Kayak and canoe trips to see bald eagles and changing foliage. More information and exciting activity opportunities will be forthcoming. The Commission will also be working in partnership with Colby College to offer complimentary shuttle service to and from the event venue and hotels. USA Artistic Swimming is thankful to be working in partnership with parties committed to making the tourism experience in Maine top-notch. Likewise, USA Artistic Swimming is excited to continue to offer a premier championship experience to our domestic masters athletes.
