COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - USA Artistic Swimming is excited to announce Irvine, Calif. as the host city for the 2022 13-15 Championship and 12U Invitational. The William Woollett, Jr. Aquatic Center will host the meet in an outdoor pool in sunny California from April 27th - May 1st. The stunning facility is well-equipped to host one of our fastest-growing championships. The 13-15 Championship and 12U Invitational brings over 300 athletes from across the country together to compete against the top athletes in their respective age groups.
Visitors will have a plethora of transportation options to travel to the destination city including both the John Wayne Airport (SNA) and Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). Athletes and their families should enjoy temperatures in the high sixties and low seventies, with minimal chance for rain. The center of the city is only seven miles from the Pacific Ocean, offering visitors the opportunity to enjoy California beaches after the competition has concluded. Besides the obvious offerings of a stunning beach, Irvine also offers limitless opportunities for delicious restaurants, shopping and outdoor recreation.
“Destination Irvine is excited to host the U.S. 13-15 Artistic Swimming Championship,” said Dave Lucey, Director of Sports Sales for Destination Irvine. “We are thrilled to partner with USA Artistic Swimming and the local club, Meraquas of Irvine, to make this a memorable event for all.”
