COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - USA Artistic Swimming is launching a new video series highlighting past Olympians and Team USA athletes and their paths to the highest stage in sports. The My Olympic Journey video series will feature several videos in the coming year and aims to provide some connectivity between the sport as we know it today and the people who paved the way. There is a large contingent of athletes who have represented America on the world stage and the series is a way to celebrate the rich history they created and inspire artistic swimming youth.
Up first in the My Olympic Journey series is 2000 Olympian and current Board of Directors Athlete Representative, Carrie Barton-Garten. Carrie shares her journey candidly and recalls the hardships in her career that made her a better athlete and a better professional today.
