by Alyssa Jacobs
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Turbo, USA Artistic Swimming’s new swimwear partner, has hired Gold medal Olympian Nathalie Schneyder Ingram as the Artistic Swimming Sales Director. Ingram is a California native and swam for the Walnut Creek Aquanuts for 19 years. Most notably, she won the Olympic gold medal in synchronized swimming at the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta. She also served as an assistant coach for the Stanford University varsity synchronized swimming team and helped the program win its first-ever collegiate national championship. Nathalie also coached at the Olympic level, serving as the 2004 Dutch Olympic duet coach. Her other coaching roles include age group national champion coach and national team coach in '97, 2000 and 2009. Nathalie has also stayed involved with the USAAS organization, having served as an athlete representative, a member of the Board of Directors (VP Marketing) and a member of the USOPC Management Development Program.
After success and contributions to programs from coast to coast and around the world, she had a son, Fischer, in Colorado Springs, Colo. while teaching Pilates, running studio programs and becoming a Master Pilates Teacher Trainer. The 1996 Olympian now owns her own studio called ‘Gold Medal Pilates.’ She is married to her husband, John Ingram, and gained two step-daughters, Noelle and Ella in the process while managing two playful dogs, Tippy and Tango.
Nathalie says she is enjoying reconnecting with her artistic/synchro swim family through Zoom calls and through her new position with Turbo. Her past experience and history of excellence in the sport will undoubtedly serve her well and we look forward to working with Nathalie throughout our new partnership venture.
